Career Guidance and Counselling for Basic Schools

Career Guidance and Counselling for Basic Schools

Each year more than 400,000 Junior High School (JHS) Pupils in Ghana select courses for their Senior High School Education. The little to no career guidance and counselling at this level of education- where young people make course choices that affect their future education and training opportunities- means young people are making ill-informed decisions about their career paths; they are not aware of all the educational and career options available and therefore heighten their risk of underemployment or unemployment.

Career Guide is an informative seminar that helps final year JHS pupils to develop self-awareness, receive counselling on educational options and career paths, and plan their final year.
