The dream of every child is to become successful in a career of his/her choice. Making a career choice begin with choosing a course/path for your education or training. The final year in Junior High School (JHS) is a critical career development stage in the lives of in-school pupils in Ghana. This is where they select courses that affect their Senior High and Post-Senior High education and training. Many pupils at this level are either confused about choice of course or select courses without adequate information due to the little to no careers guidance and counselling service at the basic level of education.
Again, the challenges and demands of everyday life require that young people have competencies that will enable them develop adaptive and positive behaviours as they transition into adulthood.
Act for Life was therefore, established to provide careers guidance and personal development support to children and young people.
